IG Drones Wins Patent for Defence Drone Simulator, Pushes for ‘Aatmanirbharta’
Noida-based IG Drones has secured what they claim to be India’s first patent for an indigenous defence drone simulator. The simulator, unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Defence Expo 2022, aims to strengthen India’s defence capabilities under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The simulator was designed, developed, and built in India, offering realistic training for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces. It enables users to operate combat drones in high-risk simulated environments, including GPS-denied zones and multi-drone scenarios. Defence Milestone IG Drones’ simulator uses AI, physics-based engines, and real-time terrain modelling.
